When You Need to Contact the Airport Instead of the Airline
Airlines and airports share the same building but not the same responsibilities. Contacting the right one first saves time.
The airport operator manages the infrastructure: terminals, parking, security screening (in many countries), signage and facilities. Airlines manage bookings, check-in, boarding, the flight and baggage.

Contact the airport for
- Items lost in the terminal or at security.
- Parking problems and car park bookings.
- Facilities like lifts, Wi-Fi and toilets.
- Assistance services within the terminal (in many airports).
- Comments about security screening.
Contact the airline for
- Items left on the aircraft.
- Delayed, lost or damaged checked bags.
- Delays and cancellations.
- Booking changes.
- Seat and meal issues.

Security and police
For lost passports, theft or safety concerns, airport police or security can help. Report theft promptly, as you may need a police report for insurance.
